As flats and amenities made way for new developments, residents gradually moved, and the town evolved into a quieter version of its former self.

 

At the heart of this bustling town was a market at 38 Margaret Drive – a key landmark that has turned into a modern indoor market today. This documentary traces the rich history and cultural significance of the marketplace, exploring how the new owners aim to preserve its legacy while adapting the space for modern uses. Their vision is to revitalise the marketplace and restore the vibrant spirit of Queenstown.
